What is Melbourne GTUG?

GTUG Melbourne is a Google Technology User Group for Melbourne, Australia

GTUGs are user groups for people who are interested in Google’s developer technology and want to interact on a local level. Whether it be Android, App Engine, GWT, Charts, Maps, Earth, Wave to name just a few, we discuss demonstrate or code hack to take your development to the next level.

We meet on the first Wednesday of the month at OpenHub on Level 2, 140 Queen Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Meetings are conducted at 6:30pm and typically last over an hour. Cost is always free.

Current meetings are focused on technical presentations and extended Q&A on Google technologies but in future we will be inviting members that develop applications using Google technology to give brief demos of their work. We have informal networking afterwards and an invitation for a late supper and drinks at another venue is open to all.

Our meetings will always be open to the developer public. However, we may have to limit attendance based on interest and the size of our meeting space. In order to find out early about upcoming events, we strongly recommend you join our discussion board for the sign-up link when a new event is announced.

In addition, we maintain a calendar that lists our upcoming events. As topics and presenters are finalized, this calendar is updated accordingly.
